This webinar is scheduled for 12pm MST (2pm EST) for one hour.

Description

Eighty percent of a municipality's problems are caused by twenty percent of its sanitary sewers and storm water drainage systems. The best way to avoid the majority of future problems is to pay greater attention to them during the design phase. This presentation is intended to introduce better understanding of stormwater drainage systems design. We will discuss the possible changes to codes and standards in wake of recent events The participant will be expected to complete a small storm water drainage system design under instructor guidance by using first principle methods and/or design aids. Please bring standard engineering calculator with you for hands on design example.
We will discuss how we can more prepared for future weather changes and accommodate larger volumes of surface runoff and the impact on environment and the sustainability of development.
