Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
Global Innovative Campus GIC-Canada has been approved as an Authorized Provider
of "CEUs" by the Engineering Institute of Canada/L'institut canadien
des ingénieurs , EIC (http://www.eic-ici.ca/english/cont_ed/pp2.html)
What is a Continuing Education Unit (CEU)? It is a measure used in continuing
education programs, particularly those required in a licensed profession in
order for the professional to maintain the license. Generally, a CEU is defined
as ten hours of participation in a recognized continuing education program, with
qualified instruction and sponsorship. CEU records are widely used to provide
evidence of completion of continuing education requirements mandated by
certification bodies, professional societies, or governmental licensing boards.
The records also provide employers with information on training pertinent to
particular occupations.
GIC-Canada offers wide range of training programs that comply with EIC standards.
Your earned CEUs are registered with EIC. The EIC ensures that these registrations
are confidential and provides transcripts of recorded activity to registered individuals
upon request. This service provides a convenient way for engineering professionals
to keep track of continuing education completed at different times in various locations.
